What ideius is

ideius is a small AI advisory practice for teams that need senior judgment on an AI decision or system. The work sits between strategy and implementation: decide what is worth doing, test the claim, shape the architecture, and leave internal owners with something they can run.

That usually means working sessions, decision memos, evaluation plans, prototype reviews, vendor reads, roadmaps, and handoff notes. The point is not to make AI sound important. The point is to make a decision cleaner and a system easier to trust.

The name ideius is pronounced "ideas." It comes from the phrase innovation designed to inspire us. The name is older than the current AI cycle, but it still fits the work: practical invention, shaped around the people who have to use it.

Who leads the work

Founded in 2016, ideius is led by Fareed Ahmed, Founder & Principal AI Advisor. His background combines an engineering degree from MIT, a master's in management from Harvard, and hands-on work across product, strategy, technical diligence, and production systems.

The useful part is the mix. Fareed can sit with leadership on investment, risk, and timing, then stay close enough to evaluate retrieval quality, agent boundaries, model choices, and delivery constraints. That matters when an AI decision has both business and technical consequences.

ideius is often a fit when a company needs a senior AI point of view without a large consulting team, a long transformation program, or a prototype that nobody knows how to own after the first demo.

How the work runs

Work usually starts with one of three things: a decision, a workflow, or a system already in motion. The first pass is simple and specific: who owns the decision, what evidence exists, what would make the system unsafe or unhelpful, and what has to be true before the team should commit.

Depending on the request, the output may be an AI Decision Memo, an AI roadmap, a RAG or LLM evaluation plan, an agent workflow design, a vendor or product review, a technical diligence report, a prototype path, or a production handoff plan.

Engagements are confidential by default and typically run from four weeks to nine months. In-person time tends to matter most for the parts that resist email: scoping a problem, working through architecture, getting leadership aligned, and handing off cleanly to internal owners. Remote advisory is available across the US when the work has a clear owner and a serious AI decision behind it.

What stays visible

AI advisory often touches strategy, data, internal workflows, vendor negotiations, and product direction. ideius does not publish client names, outcomes, screenshots, or identifying operational details without permission.

The work page shows anonymized engagement patterns instead: agentic platforms, model evaluation, secure local AI, legal RAG, AI-enabled websites, lead-generation systems, real estate analysis, camera intelligence, and access-control design. The examples are meant to show the shape of the work without treating private client material as marketing collateral.
